F/C’s finish a successful 2014 in FL

The Hanna Motorsports jet funny car team finished the 2014 season in West Palm Beach, FL at the Citrus Nationals. An all star field of Pro Mods were on hand along with Danny O’Day’s Superwinch wheelstander, with the jet f/c’s closing each round of competition.

The weather couldn’t have been better in West Palm, high’s were in the mid 70’s at Palm Beach International Raceway. It was a huge difference for the team who left 3 inches of snow behind back in CT! Saturday would be night runs. Rich won the first bout by .005 and Ken the second round by .017. Ken had low e.t. and high mph of the meet with a 5.73 @ 278.50. Rich was right there too with a 5.76 @ 275mph best wowing the packed house.

Sunday saw more of the same from the team. Two more side by side runs would finish the year for the jets in style. This track was also where Rich started the year at the Super Chevy Show in March. The two competitors split Sunday’s runs once again and it ended up giving Rich the year long advantage of 33-28.

The team now starts preparing for the 2015 season currently booking the cars , coordinating plans with sponsors and going through the machines after a long and successful year. The winter will fly by and the team will be back in March ready to entertain the drag racing masses once more!
